One of her challenges for 2018 continues to be the impact on the creation of policies, laws, and conditions to strengthen legal security, freedom of enterprise and make El Salvador a competitive country, attractive to foreign and domestic investors; and thereby generate more and new sources of work in a framework of boosting the economic and social development of the country.
The vision of a Central America increasingly integrated in a region of free trade, progress and shared prosperity, and open borders, is further strengthened by the crystallization of the customs union between the countries of the northern triangle, which will position us according to estimates such as the eighth economy in Latin America.
Free trade is a factor of transformation in the countries that are advancing towards development and in the search for a better quality of life for its inhabitants; that is why the leadership of the AMCHAM is so important for our region to continue working to make trade more efficient and facilitate the achievement of customs and socioeconomic integration.
The essence of AMCHAM is to strengthen and foster mutually beneficial commercial relations between our countries and the United States of America, fostering favorable conditions for investment and trade; a key sign of regional integration begins at home, as is presenting them with pride this business directory of the AMCHAM of the north triangle.
For Amcham Honduras, on behalf of its President and the Board of Directors and in my capacity as executive director, it is very pleasant to be part of this directory that contains information that will help to transcend borders through the generation of business opportunities and trade between our members and entrepreneurs in the rest of the world.
I finish with the three words that are always valid in the hymn to Central America: God, Union, Freedom.
